Actually, for BYU’s a cappella group Vocal Point, some of the most impressive notes are the high ones.
“We mimic instruments, and sometimes even have to kind of go into the female range,” McKay Crockett, director of Vocal Point, said. “Falsetto is something that I think unless you practice it a ton, it doesn’t feel really natural. Because you talk one way, and then you have to (raises vocal pitch) make your voice do something totally different.”
