I reviewed "Zootopia":
It’s worth paying attention to what’s going on at Walt Disney Animation Studios lately.
Not that it’s usually avoidable to know what’s going on. The studio’s 2013 entry, “Frozen,” achieved a level of ubiquity that nearly surpassed the nitrogen in the atmosphere around the globe.
But if your main interaction with recent Disney animated films is to swat away incoming “Let It Go's" that buzz all around you to this day, or to plop your kids in front of “Tangled” or “Wreck It Ralph” and mentally check out (or worse, pay attention only to your kids), I’m here to tell you, it’s worth it to actually stop and pay attention to what these filmmakers are up to, from an artistic standpoint.
