I produced and hosted this podcast episode, along with Court Mann:
“The Last Descent” is a heavy film. That’s unavoidable, given its real-life subject matter: John Jones died more than 100 feet deep in Nutty Putty Cave, west of Utah Lake, in 2009 after getting stuck while hiking. Rescue crews could communicate with him, but they couldn’t get him out. Jones left behind a wife and young daughter. The new film by local filmmaker Isaac Halasima retells the story.
