'Arts Hot Ticket:​ "39 Steps" brings Hitchcock humor to Covey black box'

One lesser-known film from Alfred Hitchcock's canon is "The 39 Steps," a 1935 London-set thriller based on a 1915 novel of the same name. In 2005, the film gained new life -- with a huge twist -- when it was adapted as an absurdist comedy play with many characters but only four actors.
