'Arts Hot Ticket: "Music Man" is no con'
I wrote this "Arts Hot Ticket" column:
Sometimes art reflects life in ways that can be uncomfortable.
“The Music Man” focuses on Harold Hill, a con man and traveling salesman who arrives in a small town with the intent to gouge its residents to turn a profit. The story may have special resonance in Utah: In April, the State of Utah Department of Commerce noted that between January and March 1, Utahns were scammed out of nearly $20,000 to a fraudulent group purporting to be the IRS.
