'"The Wizard of Oz" brings families to the theater, on and off stage'
I wrote a feature about "The Wizard of Oz" at High Valley Arts in Midway:
High Valley Arts in Midway is known for high-quality theater productions with talented casts and crews, but in this summer’s outdoor production, “The Wizard of Oz,” some of the cast’s appeal is on a more superficial level than just their raw talent.
“Honestly, the munchkins are the most adorable things I've ever seen,” said Shelbi Kohler, who plays Dorothy in the show. “The costumes that have gone into making them look like older people -- they’ve got sophisticated costumes, but they’re these little children. They’re so stinking cute, you can’t help but just grin from ear to ear when they come on.”
